Officials from the crash investigation team of the doomed Learjet that
Golf clubs killed US Open Champion Payne Stewart along with five others released their transcript of findings of what happened on the plane minutes before it crashed.
It appeared that
TaylorMade R9 Fairway Wood Air traffic controllers grew increasingly worried as they tried repeatedly to contact Stewart's plane as
Honma Beres MG813 Fairway Wood flew over the heartland of the United States on auto-pilot before crashing in a South Dakota field last October.
Their vain attempts to contact the plane failed along with efforts to get other pilots to
Honma Beres MG813 Driver help and were heard on three hours of audio tape made public today by the US Federal Aviation Administration.
Both civilian and
Honma Beres MG702 Irons military pilots were able to see the Learjet as it flew steadily on, but none could get an answer from the pilot. All of the windows of the Learjet were iced over suggesting that a sudden loss in cabin pressure was to blame and it would be unlikely that anyone would have survived.
